Emotional intimacy involves feelings of liking or loving one or more people, and may result in physical intimacy. Intimacy involves the feeling of being in a close, personal association and belonging together. In human relationships, the meaning and level of intimacy varies within and between relationships.

There are so many terms out there to describe relationships. Some are pretty up front. But some are confusing. The words are sometimes used interchangeably. Perhaps the confusion comes from all the different terms used for sex.
